Armenia-EU Subcommittee on Justice, Freedoms and Security holds a sitting in Yerevan

The first sitting of the Armenia-EU Subcommittee on Justice, Freedoms and Security kicked off in Yerevan today. From the Armenian side the Subcommittee is chaired by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Ghazinyan and Deputy Minister of Justice Nikolay arustamyan.

Officials from the General Prosecutor's Office, the Police, the National Security Service, the National Security Council, the Central Bank, the State Migration Agency, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Justice and Economy participate in the sitting.

The EU delegation is headed by John Kjaer, Head of the EU Directorate for the South Caucasus, Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus.

The agenda of the meeting includes issues related to border management, fighting corruption and organized crime, migration policy, judicial-legal cooperation, as well as visa liberalization for Armenian citizens.
