Karabakh settlement high on the ageda of the Armenian-Russian Inter-parliamentray Commission

“Everyone has to accept the fact that war should not repeat,” member of the Russian State Duma Konstantin Zatulin told reporters in Yerevan.

“Sure, Karabakh will not refuse from its independence achieved with great difficulty. At the same time it is necessary to understand the Azerbaijani side. Judjing from all this, I think that the sollution is as follows: independence of Karabakh and return of the terriotires controlled by self-defence forces. Here I pay special attention to the issue of Lachin corridor, which the Minsk Group Co-Chairs also emphasyze,” Konstantin Zatulin said. The Russian MP says, however, that Azerbaijan is not ready to this solution today.

Konstantin Zatulin today participated in the 19th sitting of the Armenian-Russian Inter-parlaimentray Cooperation Commission in Yerevan. President Serzh Sargsyan today received the delegation of the Commission of Inter-parliamentary Cooperation between the National Asembly of Armenia and the Federal Council of Russia headed by co-chairmen of the commission Hero of the Republic of Armenia, member of the Federal Council of Russia Nikolay Rizhkov and member of the Armenian National Assembly Aram Safaryan.

President Sargsyan underlined that the strategic partnership between Armenia and Russia is steadily developing, and inter-parliamentary cooperation plays an important role here. The President expressed gratitude to all those who contribute to raising the relations between the two countries to a new level.

“Armenia values and is grateful to its friends,” President Sargsyan said. According to him one of these friends is Konstantin Zatulin, First Deputy Chairman of the Commission on Issues of Cooperation with CIS of the Russian State Duma.
