On March 16 Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Bernard Fassier, Robert Bradtke and Igor Popov and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The results of the meeting held in Sochi on March 5 were discussed. In that context Minister Nalbandian voiced hope that it would be possible to achieve progress in the negotiation process based on the agreements reached between the Presidents in Sochi.
The Armenian Foreign Minister drew the attention of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to the frequent provocations of Azerbaijan at the line of contact and the cases of ceasefire violation, noting that those do not contribute to the establishment of a positive atmosphere in the talks.
“If Azerbaijan agreed to followed the calls of the Minsk Group Co-Chairs and the international community to pull back the snipers from the line of contact, it would further the process of peaceful negotiation,” Minister Nalbandian said.
